What to expect

This event is sure to be one for the history books!

Take a trip back in time with a tour of Olivewood Estate Homestead, the original home of Charles Chaffey. Charles, originally a Canadian, established the Renmark and Mildura Irrigation Colonies with his brothers George and William.

We’ll explore Chaffey’s 1889 wooden-floored log cabin house and marvel at the sprawling grounds and palm tree-lined driveway. Keep an eye out for the displays of working printing machines, photographic equipment, a 1926 Garford fire engine, and a replica of the olive crusher used in the production of olive oil. After the tour, we will finish with some morning tea.
