2022 Disability, Ageing & Life Expo

Enhanced Lifestyles are delighted to announce that we are the Event Partner for this year’s Disability, Ageing & Lifestyle (DAL) Expo which is free to attend, being held at the Adelaide Showgrounds on 28 and 29 October.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Ellis, said, “We’re proud to once again be supporting this great community event. It’s the largest event in SA that allows people with a disability or their carers to meet such a wide range of service providers and investigate different support options that can enhance their lives.”

The DAL Expo is organised by the Catalyst Foundation, who has been planning for this year’s event to be the biggest one yet, with over 200 service providers showcasing their products.

Catalyst Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Jenny Hughes, said, “We’re pleased to continue our relationship with Enhanced Lifestyles at the Disability, Ageing & Life Expo, they are an important Event Partner, and we appreciate their ongoing support of this valuable community event bringing together seniors, people living with a disability, family, and supporters.”

Big changes have been made to this year’s Expo. The event has been moved into a larger venue, allowing room for more activities and entertainment and takes place over Friday and Saturday.

So, who and what are attendees going to see at the Expo?

The Xlent Inclusive Sports Zone

First, let’s start off with The Xlent Inclusive Sports Zone. There you can watch demonstrations of several inclusive sports, including Wheelchair Football, Futsal, Basketball and more! Brought to you by Xlent Disability Services supported by the team of One Culture Support Services, you’ll discover and may be inspired to take to the field and get involved.

For the first time ever at the Expo, attendees can also reach new heights as they try out a hydraulically controlled 8-metre Rock Wall designed specifically for individuals living with a disability.

Link Assistive: Link Sensory Technology Zone

Learn how the calming effects of the Link Assistive sensory room can support individuals in developing their sensory skills. Immerse yourself in its ceiling projections, interactive lighting, visual light features and more!

The Autism SA Sensory Zone

If you need a quiet space to adjust to the atmosphere of the Expo, you can stop by Autism SA’s sensory-friendly environment. There’ll also be a quiet hour between 3pm – 4pm on both days.

Talented artists

Be sure to watch talented South Australian artists and performers at the Expo stage – including Expo Ambassador, Rachael Leahcar. You may remember Rachael from her audition on The Voice in 2012, which was nominated for TV moment of the year. Rachael lives with visual impairment and has inspired countless individuals to follow their dreams and believe in themselves.

The Enhanced Lifestyles Welcome Zone

Be greeted by our team as you make your way through the Enhanced Lifestyles Welcome Zone and into the Expo. Inside, you can stop by our stand to learn about our unique member-led association and the difference it can make in your life.
