Our customers and their carers enjoyed the very first Customer Experience event in the Riverland this morning, at the Pines Historic House in Loxton.
Attendees enjoyed a traditional morning tea, and were served some delicious homemade scones fresh out of the oven with jam and cream (or vegemite!).
Afterwards they enjoyed a guided tour of the main homestead building, which has been painstakingly preserved so it remains exactly how it was when donated to the Loxton community 22 years ago.
Everyone was so impressed with the hard work of the small group of volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain the grounds, buildings, and historical items. It was a very interesting morning, with everyone learning about the history of the local area as well.
We discovered that the grounds are open to the public 24 hours a day, all year round, so it’s perfect for a casual visit. The grounds are wheelchair accessible, and the gardens are beautiful. There is also undercover seating and toilet facilities. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend it.
