Where is the NDIS available?
The NDIS is available throughout South Australia to individuals with a permanent disability. Within South Australia, there are 29,538 individuals who benefit from the NDIS and 14,713 receiving support for the first time.
Who will decide if I can access the NDIS?
The NDIA determines individual eligibility for the NDIS. The NDIA is the national agency responsible for running the NDIS. Some people, including people living in supported accommodation, accessing a community access service such as a day program, accessing a specialist disability case management service or accessing a respite service, will go through a simplified eligibility process, based on the supports they currently receive.
