What to expect
Home fire safety is an important topic for everyone in the community, no matter where you live.
We’ve asked Phil from the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service to present to our members about fire risks in the home and the steps you can take to keep yourself safe. You’ll learn about identifying ignition sources, the importance of smoke alarms, creating home fire escape plans, and calling for emergency help.
It’s a heavy topic, but Phil will strike the perfect balance between light, interesting, and informative!

Due to the nature of the event, there are only a limited number of spots available at the event.
If you’d like to attend, please submit an expression of interest by clicking here and filling out the form. Expressions of interest close on Friday 27 October 2023. You can request a maximum of two tickets: one for yourself and one for your Lifestyle Attendant or an informal carer.
If the number of interested members exceeds the number of spots available, we will hold a random draw to select attendees.
