Suzanne is passionate about driving change in the disability sector to create an inclusive environment for individuals living with a disability who want to access education and enter the workforce.
Suzanne has been a customer of Enhanced Lifestyles for many years and has served on the Board as a Committee Member since early 2022. As she is a relatively new Board Member, Suzanne is looking forward to bringing fresh ideas and additional lived experience of disability to the organisation.
Before her current Board role, Suzanne served on the Board for Community Lifestyles and the Murray Bridge Accessibility Council Committee. Suzanne has also worked with local council and Members of Parliament to table a document on young people in nursing homes. Suzanne participated in a forum with Members of Parliament about legalisation of paid sex work in South Australia, documented in Hansard (the official report of the debates of the parliament).
Suzanne has always been empowered to advocate for individuals living with a disability, which is why she has dedicated years of her life to volunteering as an advocate through the Disability Action Group.
Suzanne is proud to be contributing to a member-governed association that ensures customers’ voices are always listened to and respected.
Suzanne has completed a Certificate 3 in Community Services and a Certificate 2 in Travel and Tourism.
